The UNAIDS Regional Strategic Team in Latin America brings together the coordinated efforts and resources of all United Nations Co-sponsor Agencies in support of the national response to AIDS, in harmonization with key stakeholders at different levels, striving to achieve Universal Access to prevention, treatment and care & support under the platform of the Three Ones and within a context low HIV prevalence and a scenario of middle-income countries.
Under the overall guidance of the RST Director and direct supervisor of designated supervisor, the Programme Associate ensures effective delivery of the CO program by entering and managing data and supporting program implementation consistent with UNAIDS UBW as well as UNAIDS rules and regulations.
The Programme Associate will provide support to the RST Program Unit. The Programme Associate will work in close collaboration with the operations and program staff in the RST, as well as with UNAIDS headquarters, regional county offices and regional stake holders. The Programme Assocciate will also be expected to resolve complex finance-related issues and exchange of information.
| Recruitment Qualifications | |
| Education: | Secondary Education, preferably with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance. University Degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences and Social Sciences would be desirable, but not a requirement |
| Experience: | 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or program experience is required at the national or international level. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems. |
| Language Requirements: | Fluency in Spanish and in English, both written and verbal. Portuguese is desirable, but is not a requirement. Fluency in English to be tested through TOEFL (450 points) |
