| Job Code Title: ICT Associate Pre-classified Grade: ICS-6 (GS-6) Type of Contract: Fixed-Term Appointment (FTA) Supervisor: Administrative Officer |
This position is located in the OCHA Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Panama. ICT Associate report directly to administrative Officer and, when is away from the office on mission or leave, to the Regional Head of Office or Officer-in-Charge.
Within delegated authority, the ICT Associate will be responsible to fulfill all his/her duties with minimum supervision. Under his responsibilities, the ICT Associate will make sure that all equipment, software and support will be available for OCHA Regional Staff. Advice Head Of Office about Technological issues, and make contacts with other OCHA Sections for make systems inter operatively. ICT Associate provides support to the Regional Office on ICT as well as support to NDRA´s at Country Office levels, as needed. The ICT Associate coordinates implementation of OCHA global ICT development, networking and security standards in the region and coordinates information needs and technical support requirements.
| VI. Recruitment Qualifications | |

Education: | Secondary education with relevant certifications in hardware and software management and application, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) required. If certification is not available at the time of recruitment, it should be obtained within 6 months. University Degree in Computer Science would be desirable, but it is not a requirement. |
| Experience: | 6 years of relevant working experience, including network administration, support to management of hardware and software platforms, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications. |
| Language Requirements: | Fluency in Spanish and in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in English to be tested through TOEFL (450 points) |
